Welcome film photographers to Season 3 of our C41 Coffee Film Photography Contest 📸🎞🎉

SEASON 3
NOV 2023 – OCT 2024⁣

With this new season, we are doing things a bit differently!⁣

⁣Season 3 will have a main, over-arching theme, focusing on famous and influential street and documentary photographers.⁣

⁣Each month will be inspired by an influential street and documentary photographer — your challenge will be to shoot (or unearth in your archives) a film photograph inspired by them! ✨⁣

These monthly themes will be an opportunity for new inspiration and creative challenges, learning more about the works and methods of influential photographers, and perhaps looking at your photography in a new way. ⁣

Submission fees: to help cover expenses we need to charge a small submission fee this season. For just $5 CND (the price of a fancy coffee) per entry/month, you’ll have a chance at great exposure and amazing prizes!

ABOUT THE CONTEST

We’re excited to announce Season 3 of the C41 Coffee Film Photo Contest — a monthly themed film photo contest exhibited at the C41 Coffee Shop at 2948 w4th, Vancouver, British Columbia V6Y 1R2. 

It’s open to local, national and international photographers, with monthly winners, as well as a Grand Prize Draw with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize Packages at the end of the Season — plus monthly coffee prizes for Voters!. 

Monthly Themes are announced on the 1st of each month, with submissions open for 4 weeks / closing on the 30th/31st. 

MONTHLY CONTEST!

• Each month we’ll select up to 12 Photographs per Theme. 
• The 12 selected Photographers will be exhibited at C41 Coffee Shop for a month. Customers vote in-store for the Monthly Winner!
• The 12 selected will receive their professionally printed photographs
  (we’ll mail them to our National and International Photographers)
  
  

MONTHLY WINNERS!

• The Monthly Winner goes into the Grand prize Draw at the end of the Season
• And all 10 Monthly Winners will be re-exhibited in the Final Month, where Customers will vote for the Season 3's Winner!
  
  

GRAND PRIZE DRAW (End of Season / Oct – Nov 2024)

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize Packages will be announced soon!  
  
  

VOTING

• Customers can vote for one (1) photo only, per month. Voting is in-store only.
• Voters are automatically entered to win free C41 Coffee. We draw three lucky voters each month!
  
• Votes are counted and the Winners announced on our Instagram account @c41coffeefilmphotocontest.
• In the final month of the Contest, the 10 Monthly Winners will be re-exhibited and our Voters will select Season 3’s Winner
  
• And to thank our Voters in the final month, we have a Bonus Prize! 10 Voters will be drawn, each winning one of the Final 10 Prints!
